Experimental
After my solo exhibition in August 2021, I took a short break from the studio with the idea of coming back with fresh new ideas. It was easier said than done but I think I am back on the right path and ready to move on. I am constantly trying to push my work andContinue reading “Experimental”

The Small Ones
The beginnings of a new work. Quick rough sketching and mark making with pencil. The drawing is an opportunity to be expressive and free. They are inspired by my walks and trails I map as I walk. I am also inspired by the rocks and boulders that I come across scattered in the landscape ofContinue reading “The Small Ones”
Making Space for Pink and Order

It was an expressive beginning to something I wanted to explore using yellow and orange, colours I love using together. The mediums used were both oil paintsContinue reading “Yellow Energy”

The Last Winter Chime
I unintentionally painted this entire painting upside down. I came to a point were I didn’t want to go any further with it. It was just ‘done’, in my mind but there was something really bothering me about where it came to. I turned it upside down, and it seemed to work immediately. How funny..
