My art work based on the poem of Eva Gore Booth, The Dreamer, Acrylic on Canvas, 30cm x 30cm. Available online via Hamilton Gallery, Sligo.
On external exhibit at the MoLI (Museum of Literature Ireland), Dublin till mid March. This is an invited artists exhibition of 93 women artists to respond to the life and work of Eva Gore Booth. The exhibition will be touring abroad to the Irish embassies around Europe some time late March.
I have a small piece on my website about how the poem spoke to me on a personal level and also on my art process of how the painting came about further down my homepage
So thrilled to be a part of this
Wicklow Artists a Gathering – Spring Exhibition March 29th – April 7th
Trying some inks on cotton rag paper. It will be on exhibit in a group show I am delighted to be part of. ‘Wicklow Artists’, March 29th at La Touché Place, Greystones, Co.Wicklow
Gone to its new home today. This is one of my dead trees series.. romanticising time, painted on wood panel it speaks for itself maybe..
My first art swop with fellow artist Michael Gemmell.. and Limerick School of Art and Design graduate.. I am truly honored to swop with such a talented artist who was tutored by John Shinnors and both of whom I’ve admired since discovering their work during my early years as an artist. I am completely inspired with this abstraction titled ‘The Burren in Autumn’ Oil on Canvas, 40x50cm
Swooped with my ‘Unfolding Autumn’ Oil and mixed media on canvas, 30x30cm
Now I am going to paint something new just to mark the moment.. More artists should be doing this.. it’s a phenomenal experience!..
Thank you Michael!
